My grandmother was once seated next to Dr. Seuss (Theodore Seuss Geisel) at a dinner party. At one point she said to him, “Oh you must love children,” and he was drunk and replied “I loathe them.”  Sadly my grandmother told me this anecdote when I was too young to understand sarcasm and so for many years my view of Dr. Seuss was tarnished. Sad day/true story.
